Anduril unveils first drone produced at Ohio facility

Defense technology company Anduril Industries completed production of its first Ohio-made YFQ-44A model, an autonomous drone known as the Fury.

Ohio officials and Anduril executives gathered at Anduril’s Arsenal-1 facility in Pickaway County Monday to celebrate the first Fury to be manufactured on the new $900 million campus.

“It was remarkable to watch Anduril[’s] first Ohio-made, unmanned combat aircraft roll off the production line at Arsenal-1 in Pickaway County this morning,” Gov. Mike DeWine said in a Facebook post Monday. “Congratulations to everyone involved in this significant milestone for national defense!”

Arsenal-1 received a $310 million grant from JobsOhio, and the facility is expected to create about 4,000 jobs over the next decade.
